Trials

Trials

Yes there are times when I’m unsure of

Which way I really ought to go.

When eyes of faith start to blur up,

Sometimes it’s really hard to know.

Pat answers really won’t solve the problem.

Please, I wish you’d hold your anxious tongue.

Save your words until my heart can hear them.

If you love me, take my problem to the Son.

Seems there are trials in every life,

Rich or poor, black or white.

Peace like a river seldom flows

Upon this side, except to those

Who fully trust His perfect will

He’ll lead them to the waters still

In spite of trials they stay true

Sure that the Lord will bring them through.
